The Roles

We are closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19. We appreciate this is a fluid situation and, therefore, will be adapting our recruitment processes accordingly. All our recruitment activities will continue to provide a fair and transparent experience. During this time, face-to-face interviews will be replaced by video calls where possible. If you have an accessibility need and/or require reasonable adjustments to the interview process (for example, perhaps an out of hours interview), please contact us to discuss it further and/or state this within your application documents.

I come from a professional finance background and I’ve been fortunate enough to work across a wide range of public services, including the NHS, Civil Service and Local Government. In my time I’ve managed a diverse array of service areas including finance, human resources, procurement, IT and transformation.

I joined Basildon Council in June 2017 and currently lead the council’s Resources function – a mixture of support and front-line activities covering Finance and Commercial Services, Governance and Assurance, as well as Revenues, Benefits and Customer Services.

I’m committed to maximising the positive outcomes to society through the effective and efficient delivery of public services. I’m looking for ambitious and diligent individuals to ensure respond responsibly to the upcoming changes to local government funding and that we make the most of the commercial opportunities available to us.
